HOME|ROASTER TERMS
Effective date: October 15, 2026
These Roaster Terms apply to any account registered as a roaster on MyCoffeeSettings, operated by NMN Investments, LLC, d/b/a MyCoffeeSettings ("MCS," "we," or "us"). They supplement the MCS Terms of Service, which also apply to you. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
By registering a roaster account, you agree to these Roaster Terms on behalf of yourself and the roasting business you represent (the "Roastery"), and "you" includes both.
Roaster accounts have two levels.
Level 1: Unofficial Roaster. Every roaster account starts at this level. Unofficial Roasters have limited access to the roaster dashboard and may upload their own coffees and settings. Those coffees and settings are public and are marked as unverified. Unofficial Roasters do not receive the Official checkmark, their settings are not labeled Roaster Recommended, they cannot create or schedule events, and they cannot claim coffee pages already on MCS. If one of your coffees was previously added by a user, the information you upload will not replace that existing entry.
Level 2: Official Roaster. After MCS completes the officializing process in section 3, your account becomes an Official Roaster. Official Roasters receive the Official checkmark on their name and settings, full access to the roaster dashboard, the ability to claim coffee pages under section 4, Roaster Recommended settings under section 5, and the ability to create events under section 6.
MCS may add, change, or remove dashboard features at either level.
To become an Official Roaster, you must complete MCS's officializing process, which verifies (a) the identity of the person operating the account and (b) that the Roastery is a real business that roasts its own coffee. MCS may request documents such as a government-issued ID, business registration, and photos or other evidence of your roasting operation. MCS grants Official status at its sole discretion, case by case, and may decline any application. Verification documents are used only for this review and are deleted once a decision is made, unless the law requires us to keep them.
You represent and warrant that:
You are responsible for the accuracy of every coffee listing you create or manage, including origin, process, roast details, tasting notes, photos, and links to where the coffee is sold.
Official Roasters may claim a coffee page for a coffee the Roastery roasts, including a page originally created by a user. Once a claim is approved, your images and details become the official entry for that coffee. Claiming a page lets you edit its official details and add Roaster Recommended settings. It does not let you edit, hide, or remove settings, notes, or reviews posted by users; if you believe user content is inaccurate or violates our rules, report it and MCS will review it.
MCS may reject or reverse a claim, merge duplicate pages, or correct listing information at its discretion.
Settings published by an Official Roaster for its own coffees are labeled Roaster Recommended. You agree that these settings reflect your good-faith suggestion of a starting point for brewing that coffee. Users are told that results vary with equipment and technique, and that neither MCS nor the roaster guarantees any result. You will not describe Roaster Recommended settings as a guarantee, and you will not publish settings for coffees the Roastery does not roast.
Only Official Roasters may create events. For every event you list, you are the organizer and are solely responsible for it, including:
MCS is only a listing platform for your events. It does not organize, supervise, or insure them, and it is not a party to any arrangement between you and attendees. MCS may remove any event listing at its discretion. You are encouraged to carry appropriate general liability insurance for in-person events.
When users register for your event, MCS shares with you the name and email address of each registrant for that event, along with registration and check-in status ("Attendee Data"). You receive Attendee Data for your own events only. With respect to Attendee Data, you are an independent business responsible for complying with all privacy, data protection, and anti-spam laws that apply to you. You agree that:
If you misuse Attendee Data, MCS may suspend your event privileges, revoke Official status, or terminate your account.
You grant MCS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, for as long as you have a roaster account and for a reasonable wind-down period afterward, to use, reproduce, display, and distribute the Roastery's name, logos, trademarks, coffee photos, and descriptions ("Roaster Materials"):
MCS will not alter your logos except for resizing or formatting, and will not suggest that the Roastery endorses anything it has not endorsed. You may ask us at any time to stop using Roaster Materials in new marketing, and we will honor that request for future materials. You keep all rights in Roaster Materials. The license in section 5 of the Terms of Service also applies to content you post.
In addition to the Acceptable Use rules in the Terms of Service, you will not:
MCS may, at its discretion and at any time, revoke Official status and return an account to Level 1, remove roaster status entirely, suspend event or messaging privileges, or terminate a roaster account, including where the Roastery no longer roasts its own coffee, information provided proves inaccurate, or these Roaster Terms are breached. Where practical, MCS will give notice and a reason.
If Official status is revoked, the Official checkmark and Roaster Recommended labels are removed, existing events may be cancelled or delisted, and claimed coffee pages may revert to community entries. Sections 7 (as to Attendee Data you already received), 8 (wind-down), and 12 survive.
Roaster accounts, at both levels, are currently free. MCS may introduce paid features or plans in the future. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any fee applies to you, and no fee will be charged unless you agree to it.
In addition to your obligations under section 16 of the Terms of Service, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MCS from any claims arising out of (a) events you organize, (b) your use of Attendee Data, (c) Roaster Materials, including any claim that they infringe a third party's rights, and (d) the coffees and products the Roastery sells.
The disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution and arbitration, governing law, venue, jury trial waiver, and class action waiver provisions of the Terms of Service apply to these Roaster Terms. If these Roaster Terms conflict with the Terms of Service on a roaster-specific matter, these Roaster Terms control. You and MCS are independent parties; nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship.
